Many of the pages on this site can be accessed without you providing
us with any personal information at all. However some pages do require
you to register some personal information with us before you can access
them. This policy outlines our procedures with regards to any personal
information that we collect.
Matt Publishing takes responsibility
for safeguarding the privacy of its users, and will not share your personal
information without your explicit consent. We are registered with the
UK's Information Commissioner as a Data Controller in accordance with

to third-party sites which are not subject to our privacy policy.
Information Collected
The personal information that we collect (your ‘Data’) as
part of the registration process includes your name, company name, phone
number and address, your email address, and some details about your work.
Once you have registered, your user number and password are sent to the
email address you have provided and may be used to access all the 'locked'
pages on this site. They may also be stored on your computer in a 'cookie'
(see below).
Your Data is stored in a secure environment
both by Matt Publishing and by our Internet service provider, Fasthosts
Internet Ltd (see www.fasthosts.com
for details). We take all reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorised
access to your personal information.
We do not intentionally collect information
about children, and will delete any such details that we may have inadvertently
collected if requested to do so by a parent or guardian.
Use of Personal Information
We use your Data to ensure our services are relevant to your needs. We
also share your Data with our business partners in an aggregate form in
order to give them a better understanding of our users. For example, we
may make public the proportion of our users describe themselves as 'application
architects'. In such instances the information presented does not allow
individuals to be identified.
From time to time, and if explicitly
authorised by you to do so, we may inform you of any new products or services
that we feel may be useful to you.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We may share your Data with suppliers that we may engage to provide us
with data processing services, with anyone to whom we transfer ownership
of the web site itself, or if required to do so by court order or by law.
With your explicit permission we may
also share your Data with our principal business sponsor Microsoft Limited,
UK in order that they may inform you of products or services they make
available that may be useful to you. Microsoft is committed to protecting
your privacy and Microsoft’s Privacy Statement can be viewed at

Use of Cookies
When a user registers with DNJ Online you can choose to have a cookie saved your computer's hard disk that contains your name, user number,

not contain any information other than your name, user number, password and
expiry date.
We also use this cookie to keep a
log of the pages that you visit within our site and the links that you
